  No longer young, this earthy mid-weight Barolo has excellent QPR. Drinking well.

  Smooth body of red fruit, menthol, earth. Tannins are slightly present on the finish.

  Decanted; clear cherry garnet color, fresh nose of fruit roll-up or hard candy with rose and menthol overtones; fresh perfumed palate of a melange of raspberry, plum and even trailing blueberry with espresso, licorice and wood flavors, moderate acidity and mouth coating, almost parching tannins. Way better than the last bottle which was clearly flawed. Drinking well, very good value ($26).

  good fruit, nice tannin that weren't too tight, nice acidity, a bit more new world style (ready to drink instead of needing 20 more years to mature) worth the price.
