Book Club (Juliette): Somehow FMIII guessed this varietal correctly, I never would have come close as I don't have much experience with Sancerre. Initial aromas where a bit offsetting as there was a clear chemical note but it mostly blew off with time and the butterscotch scent subsided as well. Wild complexity and evolved in the glass for good entertainment value. Had a hint of petrol on the palate which I would normally associate with a Riesling. Very long fisnish.

(Domaine Pascal Cotat Sancerre Les Monts Damnés) Light yellow color; light, bright, white flower and fresh cut lime nose; very tasty, elegant, light bodied, ethereal Sancerre, with stony minerality and depth; medium finish

Served blind. Black licorice, glossy/waxy with a balanced fruit profile of a green tropical note. At 10 years old, this is fresh and terrific.
