Blind tasting. Color: Medium Ruby, with a touch of garnet. Aromatic Intensity: M Sweetness: Dry Acidity: M+ Tannin Level: M+ Tannin Nature: Ripe, fine-grained Alcohol: High (13.5%) Body: Full Flavor Intensity: M Aroma & Flavor Characteristics: Red cherry, red plum, charred wood, vanilla, clove, dried leaves, forest floor, tobacco. Light balsamic vinegar and barnyard. Other Observations: Lacking harmony Finish: M/M+ Quality: Good. Alcohol was a little out of balance. Aging: Not suitable. While there is sufficient acid, tannin, and alcohol for aging, the fruit would not gain in complexity, and therefore the wine would not improve with age.

Definitely a Washington State Cab. A little thin and slightly bitter but got better with some air, but still much different from Napa Cab. I got a closeout bargain at 70% off list so no complaints.

Juicy wine with cherry, plum, minerals and mild spice. Medium plus finish.
