This is an accessible vintage of this wine. Consumed at a restaurant, the first glass was tight, but a subsequent pour opened up nicely to show off that classic Woodward Canyon silliness and understated elegance . Red and back fruit and spice. Tasty.

Didn't get to take detailed notes, shared in a short timespan with a group. Really enjoyable- a bit tight right now but plenty of goodness, with fresh black plum, baking spices, touches of dry earth, a bit of sage, and maybe even something a tiny bit savory/meaty in the background, which I rarely find in WA cabs. It's a very "medium" style, with darker-hued fruit and deftly-avoided green tones, but with a nice acidic lift and generally fresh profile. I think this could really use some age- or drink it very patiently.
