This is a pathetic joke of a wine. At last, the wine industry (and the critics who enable and abet it) needs to step up and stop fudging and mincing words. This wine is worth about $11.99 on its best day. It is to Barolo what the Yugo is to automobiles. While the wine is not defective, its virtues are so attenuated that it is simply not worth drinking - least of all at the ridiculous retail price being assessed. With a flavor of stewed prunes, cinnamon, and no discernible tannins, this sad red wine might appeal to people who have no experience with Barolo or Barbaresco and who are just looking for some red wine to drink. I would never buy it again.
I found the oak or aromatics a bit overwhelming, and overall the wine felt very heavy. Left for a few days in the fridge and came into balance a little better, gonna lay the rest down for at least 5 years, this needs some time for sure

Popped & poured. First time opening one of these, and we really liked it. Medium bodied with good depth and expressiveness. Mildly drying but well integrated tannins. Paired well with leftover short ribs and agnolotti.

Popped/poured. A lot of VA… not for the sensitive. Probably needed more air or needs more time in bottle but I’m not sure this is ever really going to be a winner

Drank over 5 hours. Light and easy on the palate. Drinks like a decent Langhe. Not much going on. Very doubtful of its future. Doesn’t compare to 13 & 10. 89-90pts.
