Medium bodied, slightly clear rim but bright ruby red overall. Nose of red and dark fruits, chocolate, hint of smoke and pepper (black/white). Pallet is medium bodied, the tannins are still quite present. Smooth finish. I reckon this can hold another 5-10 years.

Deep purple brick color. Muted nose of dark fruit. Medium body. Medium heavy tannins with a pronounced acidity. Flavors of Dark cherry, dried strawberries, plum, and tobacco. Good balance. A slight alcohol astringency in the finish. Drinking well, but has another 5+ years ahead of it. Decant for sediment.

I ordered this dry Priorat from Flickinger’s wine (Chicago) 8/2018 but I received the sweet wine instead - plus the label was severely stained. I did get a refund but still wish I had a bottle of this wine. Paid $30 originally.

Eðalklúbbur, vínsmakk #4 vor 2018 (Hlíðarás 10): Úr magna. Mjög álíka litur og í fyrra Costers víninu. Fyrra vínið leit út fyrir að vera eldra, sem það og var. Flottasti ilmur kvöldsins fram að þessu. Jötungrip, ekki mikill ávöxtur, blautur bylgjupappi, greni. Fersk lykt.

Full body. Slight bricking. Still has good dark fruit flavors of cassis, dark cherry, liquorice, and leather. Fruit is still very much present with solid tannins. Has at least 5 more years. Decant for sediment. Also opens up nicely after an hour or so.
