A bright light red in the glass. Fairly simple on the nose with cherry and raspberry. Light to medium in body. Medium acidity. Low to medium in tannin. Slightly drying but well balanced with the acidity. Simple notes on the palate with a short finish. Acidity is sticking with me bringing out more subtle red fruit on the palate. Light, delicious and vibrant. Really enjoyed though nothing stands out as “amazing”.

A basic, unfussy, authentic (i.e. unconfected) red wine that’s unencumbered by oak, excessive ripeness, or spoofulation. But why buy this, instead of a Loire gamay, or a mencia from Ribera Sacra, or a fer servadou from SW France? The answer for me is that I like them all, as each has their charm. I like the tart red fruits here (currant, Rainier cherry, that sort of thing) and the hint of salinity that’s important in the really good wines from this volcanic region. Mild tannins, not a lot of depth, but a good amount of pleasure.

PnP. Cherry, raspberry, rose and other floral notes, pepper, and the underlying minerality. Bright fruit, medium+ acidity, medium body, integrated, but drying, tannins in the finish. Only my second vintage of this wine, but I love this every time I taste. I'd love to taste this after a few years of bottle age, but this is delicious right now.

Buona struttura e freschezza, alcol troppo in evidenza.

Светло-гранатовый цвет. В аромате клубника, клюква, гвоздика, немного пряных нот, земля, маринад, шерсть. Во вкусе среднее тело, высокая кислотность, средние танины. 89/100
