Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 88 points

  • Dark in color, hint of ripe fruit on the nose, with some light dried stem herbal notes; a lot of rich, fairly lush darker fruit here, it’s definitely a warmer year wine, not syrupy or cloying, but pushes ripeness to the edge of where I’m comfortable. Good balancing acidity, and the tannins are unobtrusive but just enough to provide structure to support the larger framed palate. Could almost be a California wine, but retains enough burgundy character to put it clearly in that camp.
