  • PnP, followed 6 hours

What a nose upon opening, bursting with red apples, mushroom, hazelnut and gentle citrus fruits.

Embodiment of harmonious, no edges to be found. Sweet fruits, yet never jammy, great freshness, but never aggressive.

One of those noses I can't stop enjoying.
The palate is slatey and salty alongside orchard fruits.
How is this is a Bourgogne Blanc??
I liked this even better than a Meursault 17 had a few weeks ago.

For my palate, this drinks perfectly now, though it lasted all night, so should age with ease as well.

  • Ripe, round and nicely balanced, but honestly pretty boring considering the price. I decanted for an hour to see if I could tease it out a bit more, but it never really got there. Just missing a bit of energy and acid. I'd be into it if it cost $100, but as is frequently the case with Coche Bourgogne, this bottle was slightly disappointing.

  • So brilliant balanced. I could drink it the whole day. Exotic fruit but never fat. Nice acidity and no harm. This wine region is so different and somehow mystic...94++

  • Drank at Le Soufflot in Meursault on 1/13/23.
My first taste of Coche white and highly anticipated. Of course I've heard many things about Coche but in drinking this wine I felt the glimpse of greatness that these wines are repudiated for and it had nothing to do with some signature reduction or intensity of one aspect. From nosing the wine to having it on the palate and swallowing it there was completeness. The entire sensory experience was seamless. The nose carried over perfectly to the mouth which carried over perfectly to the finish. A wine that can demand your attention should you be so inclined and yet could also feel meditative and zen at the same time. That is beauty, harmony, balance and true greatness.

  • Fabulous nose of flint stones and matchstick reduction… Very nice tension, almost electric, nice salinity, very very delicious!!
