Just outstanding. A little closed when initially opened, but after about an hour in the glass, she woke up. This is what burgundy should taste like. Wow. I wish I had bought more.

(Barthod Ghislaine Bourgogne Rouge) A little deeper, medium ruby-red versus the Leroy, with a nose that is denser but at the same time less pretty - darker fruit that today is less successfully delineated. In the mouth there is also a little more density and certainly an extra dimension of flavour in the mid-palate. There is more ‘material’ in the glass and more secondary development than the Leroy, this wine had a significant advantage in purchase price too - it’s a really good regional wine - yet I would certainly go for the Leroy in preference today.
(Barthod Ghislaine Bourgogne Rouge) Medium, medium-plus cherry red - holding its colour very well. The nose is a little tight; mainly glossy red cherry, but not very expressive. The palate is reserved yet quite sophisticated. Good acidity, some fat, a little grain to the tannin and very good concentration in the mid-palate. A wine that is currently hiding much of its wares but is clearly a very 'above average' bourgogne.
(Barthod Ghislaine Bourgogne Rouge) Medium, medium-plus cherry red. The cherry infused nose is fresh and forwardly fruity. Nice concentration and very good acidity. The tannins are still a little showy and astringent but manage not to dominate the pretty fruit. A serious bourgogne that needs another 2+ years in the cellar.
(Barthod Ghislaine Bourgogne Rouge) Lovely medium density cherry red colour. The nose is deep showing red and black cherry notes, even a little raspberry and earth too. The palate shows good concentration and, perhaps, a more red fruity palate. Good acidity and sophisticated tannins. Shows good length too. Excellent Bourgogne Rouge

Some thought TCA. I couldn't perceive it but it was short and muted.

Very good balance, still pretty closed despite decant/swirl, etc. Try 2008.
