  • Nose: green apple, brioche, honey, white flowers
Notes: Located in Ogur-Sur-Mesnil, this Champagne house is right opposite to Salon and this address makes classic and delicious Champagne, especially its Blanc de Blanc. The Mesnillesime is the top Cuvee of the house (they do have a special one on top fo that but I doubt you will see any in the market so Mesnillesime is probably the top you will see). I like the balance achieved in this wine, despite the pretty and round aromas the palate is actually on the leaner side and the acidity is just right, nothing too much and nothing too little. Given the age of course this is quite young and could live for a much longer time but it's also drinking quite nicely today.

  • Nose: green apple, brioche, pear, honey
Notes: quite some intense minerality in the wine. This certainly is the more lean and steely champagne. Quite an elegant and well structured champagne. This may require quite a few more years to come around but I think it is potentially promising. Should approach in a few years time and see.
