  Maybe more, as it ages
  
  Nice wine. Not quite what I expected, but I didn't know what to expect!
  
  reasonably dark in the glass, but it has some of the translucence I expect of Sangiovese. Lighter rim. Some legs, but seems uniformly viscous at the moment.
  
  First nose sensation was -- what's that Rioja? Yea, vanilla oak, some cherry, toast,a dn dark fruits (so far).
  
  Body has some richness, and a bit of bite. This wine is delicious but young. I tend to like wines after time, even when it's a trade off of fruit for secondary notes. This is young, likely not perfectly integrated, and yes rough-ish, but not green.
  
  Black cherry, blueberry (?) and some unidentified complements make for a fairly rich palate, but again, I bet it will be significantly better in 2-3 (?) years.
  
  Anyway, plenty of tannin and enough acid to last a long time, if voted properly.
  
  I think the CT consensus recommendation for drinking window is too near term both in start nad finish.

  Apparently 50% Sangiovese and 50% Merlot. Solid wine for dining out. Some pricing arbitrage thinking through other wines by the glass versus a bottle of this. Definitely a price play; a strong value proposition. Lucente may have been my first Super Tuscan, over 25 years ago. My father was interested in the joint venture at that time. Several degrees of separation, starting with Mouton Rothschild, then Opus One, and finishing with Luce/Lucente (of course Robert Mondavi being the link). I later waded into Continuum too. The wine is simple and straightforward, but I was not disappointed. Dark berries. Good tannins. Well balanced. Long finish. Very drinkable. I need to track down a bottle of Luce.

  Тёмный пурпурно-рубиновый цвет, малопрозрачное. В аромате черные ягоды, ваниль, дерево, табак, специи, животинка, жаренное мясо, уголь, сливки, шоколад. Во вкусе плотное, жесткие шершавые танины, умеренная кислотность. 90/100
