Fabulous barolo. Mature, notes of tar, chemicals, flowers The oak is well integrated and even though the wine still has tannins. It is still a beauty and well balanced

Nose of dark cassis, tar & rose pedals. Taste is following the nose, dark cassis and great flair & vigor. Tannins have melted on 2nd day, but good acidity structure remains. Bouquet has twig needles and fragrance of rose bush.

Cherries cherries cherries! Both my wife and I had that reaction upon getting a first whiff and taste. Also that nice earthiness that you expect from a Barolo. More garnet and brick than dark purple or red telling me this wine is mature but definitely not past it’s prime. Was a fab pairing wife’s bolognese sauce and homemade tagliatelle I look forward to another bottle in the future.

A good Barolo, but a bit too much oak for my taste. Still young and tannic, but I am not sure if there is enough fruit in the wine to be a candidate for long-term cellaring.
