Opened 2 hours. Color is dark garnet. More color than usual for a Barbaresco. On the nose: Cherry, strawberry, rose, forest floor funk , mushroom. On the palate: Cherry, rose, forest floor and a hint of licorice on the finish Decent length. Lot’s of tannins and nice weight. I have always like Starderi, have ordered it often when at good NYC Italian Restaurants or on Lake Como, and this one is particularly good.

Nose: interesting nose of tar, mushroom, sous bois, chocolate and maybe...Um...sweat?
Palate: very rich - stewed plum, grenadine, pipe tobacco, anise and black tea. Smooth generous finish with soft fine tannins that still coat the teeth.
Showy generous and complex - delivers on the hefty weight of La Spinetta’s bottles! Rather lovely. A perfect partner to some bucatini all’amatriciana

Lavendel, violet, rosens, red and bluefruit, leather, herbs in a complex, long and multilayered way
A great wine

50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Smaak / Afdronk: 14 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 87/100
Color: Bright light red with a broad light and orange-brown edge Aroma / bouquet: When uncorked, this wine temporarily presents itself as sweetly scented, after which the expressiveness quickly diminishes. Taste / Finish: Tough and powerful Barbaresco, pronounced fresh acidity, powerful tannins, mouth-filling and concentrated. Powerful, not refined, aromatic limited. Overall / potential: Pleasant, unimpressive Barbaresco. Not a real bottle error, maybe a lesser one? 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 10 + Taste / Finish: 14 + Overall / potential: 8 = 87/100

Great balance and elegance on the nose and taste. Red fruit, florals and a little spice in the background. A favorite as well
