BaBa 05-10 dinner session at Bar Cicheti. Likely heat damaged and premature development. Nothing like the other reviews here. Nose beef broth, tertiary earth, nutty oak, licorice, red plum, fragrant red spice. Palate medium+ acidity, high alcohol (14.5%), very high tannins, full body. Flavours of tertiary earth, tea leaves, nutty oak, licorice, beef broth. Full of structure and tannin. A pity, because a 2007 bottle I had few years ago was really good.

Park90 night: Was thinking modern Burgundy for this but should have guessed Nebbiolo from the tannins. The acidity balanced the violet and cherry fruit well, definitely a well-made wine. Reminded me of a Duband hence my guess of a Burg.

Nose of dusty barn, fruit, tar and alcohol declines over the first hour. Palette of dark fruit/berries, tar, licorice root, blue berry, forrest floor. The acidity is fresh, and the tannins grips really nice and is excellent. 16-19C, decant for 1h. Burgundy glas.

Pale garnet colour, beautiful nose with cassis, licorice, cedar wood. Very fine, perfectly integrated tannins, long finish. Really a great wine in a perfect drinking window.
