Fresh and presice. Lots of citrus, lime, lemon zest with fresh green apples. Dusty minerality, with chalk and salt, hints og flint and mint. Laser sharp acidaty, light body and medium (+) finish. First time having a Keller wine and it is wery good. But is there a better qpr with this quality? I think so.

Consistent with my notes from last summer. Only thing different is I got less tropical fruit (think that was due to pairing it with sushi this time). I still get a lot of tree fruit and citrus. Still plastic from the TDN. Still super mineral-driven. Drinking this is like licking an actual wet stone. Intensity of both flavors and aromas is medium +
Medium body with medium + acid. Had it with omakase sushi and it paired best with the lighter, white fish courses. I still think these are meant to "drink now", though you can certainly age them.

12.5% abv. AP 09. Riesling Trocken. This is my first experience with a vintage of Von der Fels that doesn't lead with severe acidity. Acid isn't lacking; it's just that it's stained deeply into otherwise glossy fabric and fats. Maybe it's this unexpected pause that facilitates the expression of sticky rose, muddled lime, cashew, and flagstone. All of it gathers in sweeping, dramatic action. This entrains sensations of sloe filet, goji, fennel frond, foraged apple grind. Sweet natured and boozy, and robustly regulated by a structure of slab mineral and clutching roots. It's the sweetest-tasting Von der Fels I know. (Hashtag steak and riesling.) Acidity builds, time released from lime peel and burr liquor. Someday, soon maybe, this will be so popular that I may lose access. (If you love someone) let it Sting!

Slight plastic/petrol nose. Apricot, juicy perceived sweetness. High acid. Super minerality with a savory finish.
