Grabbed this without looking at my previous note; luckily this bottle showed pretty well; ripe dark fruits, sauvage, a hint of oak, some forest floor; not much in the way of tertiary notes; tannins are still prominent, but paired well with elk backstrap; still plenty of upside.

Pop and pour; nose on this is solid; lovely earthy notes, a bit of spice, dark fruits, violets, a hint of funk. The palate was fairly rustic to start with tannins being quite prominent and overriding the fruit. With 2 hours of air it started to settle in and the fruit came out a bit more. Not going to be great, but should drink better in a few years. Seems like Burghound's 2025+ is on point.
