The nose expresses the finesse of white-fleshed fruit. The roundness associated with the sandy terroir of this vintage is evident. The finish is saline, with a lovely long finish.

Fresh notes of citrus fruits and hay on the nose, then a fairly intense mouthful of mostly lemony flavours, with a lot of acidity, and a fairly long finish with a slightly bitter aftertaste. This is made in an uncompromising, old-fashioned style, so bone-dry, quite mineral. The fruit is certainly there, but it's quite subtle so this would not be for everybody. I liked it a lot and think it will age gracefully, but I prefer Plaisance and the Ogereau stable at this stage.
