  This wine is still very young. Structured with bold tannins that sweep over your tongue. Ripe blackberries, dried figs, sweet liquorice, vanilla, and toasted nuts. I was expecting it to be a good “cellar defender”, but I’ll be leaving the bottles I have left alone for a while. Overall, a great wine that definitely will become more complex in a few years. But if you like young, tannic Rioja that still offers some complexity, then decant and enjoy

  ein samtiger wein , der am Gaumen mit Kirsche , Lakritz und Vanillenoten überzeugt. Gut ausbalanciert !

  Ruby in color, with delicate nose of black currants with a touch of oak. Nice acidity and integrated tannins, with expressive black currants and bramble, and some notes of cocoa. Very elegant, with a medium+ finish that shows white pepper and some oak.
  A very pleasant wine in a good spot - although this was poured by the glass so I am not sure how much air it got beforehand.

  This wine for under $30 is a definite QPR alert. 1st of 6 bottles purchased and while young definitely very drinkable. All the wonderful flavors of a Rioja. cherry tobacco leather earthy oak
