Typically 40% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Cinsault and 10% each of Carignan, Mourvèdre and Counoise. This really drinks at CdP level and the cepage brings out the best of the Grenache without allowing it dominate From a magnum this was delicious. Bottled as Lirac from 2013

Surprise— a 13 year old CDR with plenty left! Relatively tannic at first but mellows with an hour or two of air, still good fruit and acid. Good but not grand Rhône nose. Cork was perfect so story was true that this came from the winery stores.

This will become Lirac with the 2013 bottle. And it kinda tastes like the barnyard of lirac too. Driven. Needs maybe just a touch more time. At 9 years old its definately kickin'.

Dark, meaty, a little brooding, with a good dose of dark, rich, reserved fruit, some garrique, dried herbs, excellent structure and some nice complexity. Very nice wine, could use a few more years, and definitely benefits from some extended air time.

First taste tannins mellow and soft, still fruit and light bodied, soft in the mouth, not a lot of intensity. Its good, unremarkably so. It’s nice.
