Fairly light and easy going, great with food. High altitude for Montalcino, this is fresh and crunchy and a solid value. You can’t go wrong with Le Ragnaie at all price points.

I love every vintage of this wine, Le Ragnaie over performs at every price point and this is no exception. More rosemary/tobacco character and more tannin than I recall from 2020. Crunchy, accessible, delicious.

Tonight w/ Nita's homemade pizza. Producer, producer...producer! I happen to love everything I've ever opened from Ragnaie and this is no exception. I bought this wondering if it was something other than 100% Sangio? My retailer was unsure too but hey, its Ragnaie. I had to give it a go! Even if it has some Cab or merlot it has to be good. Turns out its 100% young vine Sangio from a site too high to fit in the laws for calling it Rosso di Montalcino. None the less this is a very pure, balanced, feather weight, crimson red RdM in my book. Call it IGT but it drinks like bonified Ragnaie Rosso. A little less brooding & serious than the regular RdM but still captivating and fun to drink. Loved it! 13% alc. Solid value at $21.59 on a mixed case purchase locally.

$20 pizza, pasta Italian red 2021 Azienda Agricola Le Ragnaie Troncone Toscana IGT. Light-mid ruby; viscous (13.0 alc.); red fruit, strawberry, wood nose; low-mid acids; low-mid tannins; not deep; a little thin and short red fruit finish. 14.5/87.

Medium ruby color. Friendly wine, nose of red fruit and spice with some dusty earth. Medium bodied and juicy on the palate.
