  • Lovely, elegant 2000 red Burgundy. Light-medium cherry color. Delicate yet forceful nose of rose petals, rasberry, lavender and minerals. Light to medium bodied, fresh and lively on the palate, no hard edges anywhere-- everything is in harmony. Red fruits, lavender/floral notes, lightly roasted coffee and noticeable minerality on the palate. Feels light and lacy, yet persistent at the same time. Perhaps a slight amount of mid-palate dilution (a sign of the vintage?) dissapears on the lovely long red fruit finish. Terrific value @ $24, and I probably underscored this on the intellectual-pleasure scale.
