From Magnum, brought to BBF LaPaulee. Tasted in a seemingly never ending slew of oncoming wines at the Paulee. Nonetheless this is clearly still youthful, vibrant, and classic Burgundy. Can't provide great detail but this was crowd pleaser and all you could ask of a 26 year old Beaune 1er.

This was terrific. Big blast right from the first pour of deep mature Burgundy scents along with botanicals so vivid it's almost Chinato-like. Mature profile on the palate too, integrated and savory, while still having enough structure left to give it some grit.

This was double decanted about 3 hours before it was poured. Beautiful ruby color to salmon, no signs of bricking. The nose took a few minutes in the glass to open up, but then showed some nice complexity, with earthy, foresty aromas. On the palate this is very linear; medium bodied with well-integrated fruit and acidity and a firm frame of somewhat chalky tannins. Overall this seems a touch foursquare and in need of time to let it unfurl a bit more on the palate and finish. It may always remain on the austere side of things, but I think there's plenty of high quality material there to let it develop and open up.

Didn’t taste its age. Nothing WOW but good, solid aged burgundy. Would gladly buy again
