  • App: par garnet with onion rim.
Nose: medium intensity; aromas of red cherry, dry red rose petals, red date, pomegranate, basil, musk, wet leaves, toast, crushed strawberries. It’s developing.
Palate: dry, high acidity, medium plus tannins, medium body, medium plus flavour intensity, sour cherry, plum,
Nuanced and intriguing on the nose with well matured tertiary notes. The acidity is quite sharp on the palate which yells food to go with. Well made burgundy, typical and distinctive.

  • Better than the first two which were already enjoyable. This was a definite win at auction. Good juice.

  • Good burgundy. Nose earthy red cherry. Forest floor. Mushrooms. Some warm spice. Palate fresh and acid driven with incisive fruit. Mineral prominent mid to late palate. Impeccable balance, clean, complex and beautiful.

  • Perfect cork. Fresher than previous bottle. Clean and inviting nose with red berries, forest floor and oak spices. Nice evolution on the palate with slightly darker fruits, some cocoa and plenty of spices. Medium bodied with plenty of acidity. Good length but a little clipped at the end. Good balance between the fruit and the savory elements picked up from age. Very enjoyable bottle.

  • The nose did not bode too well: forest floor and slightly stewed fruits. However, it’s still alive. The tanins are fine and still grippy, tart red berries and some subtle floral notes. Short but the tannic bite calls for another sip. Very enjoyable with a rare bavette. Glad I just bought a few but they will get drunk soon.

Edit: 1 hour in and the fruit is waking up. This is adding to the enjoyment.
