  • I was pleasantly pleased with this wine. I purchased 2 bottles of this wine back in July of 1994 for under $12 a bottle. This is the first bottle I've consumed and it's held up wonderfully. The tannins have mostly integrated although there is still noticeable grip here. The finish is sweet but this wine is less about the fruit as it has more a rustic edge to it with leather and earthy notes. Good complexity for a QPR wine. It has all the signs of a wine well into maturity but it's by no means falling apart. It reminds me of a more powerful version of an old Chateauneuf du Pape. Interesting that the last reviewer also had this wine quite recently and there were no earlier tasting notes. I should have bought more!

  • Slight bricking. beautifully complex nose of candied cherries and herbs. Medium-full, nicely complex with good finish. Quite a revelation at 25+ years old...
