amazing value, this is what every Bandol fanatic looks for, some barnyard and animal scents blow off quickly and reveal flowers, tree sap and ripe red berries, the palate is round and thorough, the acids back this up well, there is a mouthful of berries, clove, leather, earth and rhubarb, drinking very well now, was great with Italian sausage

In between stage, some fine mourvedre funk with old leather and cinnamon (brett?) with some darker red fruit. Nice enough, scratches that Bandol itch. Still some drying tannin. Could age some more.

(14.5%) Mostly (75%+) Mourvedre, Grenache and a little Cinsault – This one is made from very low yields and is inky in color but showing brick red on the edges. Floral and herbs on a meaty nose with thin dark fruit (black cherry) notes. Earthy & leathery on the palate with dry black currant flavors on a big, rocky mineral structure. This leads to a pleasant, short peppery finish that elicits coffee notes and while it doesn’t linger it lasts on the tongue for some time. Still good but I think I missed it by a year or two as I’d prefer just a bit more fruit. Drink’em if you got’em…

In a really good place right now - great balance, mouthfeel, depth...If I were to complain, I'd say it was too round.
