Drank over two days. Meat smokehouse, tobacco, herbs, tomatoes in various stages of preparedness, earth, and volcanic dustiness. Great acid, ultra-juicy, sleek and utterly delicious. Better with food, but incredibly interesting as a standalone sipper. 90-91.

Tomato perfume like a nice understand blaufrankish. Touches of spice. Fruit is medium but the acidity and tannins fit right along side it. Apperently in its youth this wine has a little bit more freshness and brightness.
The difference between Classico and not is a geopgraphic area and a higher level of alcohol.
Apperently the oldest DOC in Italy.
