Wow, haven't had one of these since 2011! Well, I think the fruit has faded a touch, but it's still drinking well. Brickish garnet color. Aromas of cherry, pomegranate, cinnamon, dill, soil, and root vegetables like beets and radishes. Medium body, medium (+) acid and finish, and flavors largely carrying through, along with some black tea and orange peel. Nice pinot with complexity. Paired killer with butternut squash and rosemary apple flat breads.

Incredible wine from such a challenging vintage. Mushrooms and forest floor on teh nose, silky mouthfeel, slightly smoky with beautifully balanced fruit and acid.

Dork night. So 7 afficionados get together to taste blind pinots and I pull out this wine, and a new guy I've never met before in my life guesses right away that it's an 07 Cristom Mt. Jeff. Okay, it was the Somers instead, but way to go New Guy! Good funk on the nose suggests age, smokey, plums, roasted beets, loamy. A beautifully made OR pinot in it's prime.

Well balanced, very slightly astringent, but ready to drink, hint of acid, typical cherry taste. Enjoyed it with duck; perfect food match.
