Exhibits aromas of red fruits alongside roasted herbs and a floral backdrop. On the palate, medium-bodied with pronounced acidity, it unfurls notes of cherry, strawberry, and a hint of white pepper, leading to a respectable finish. A decent Dry Creek Zinfandel, it would benefit from some cellaring to fully articulate its character.

Hard to believe, but I've been following the evolution of East Bench for 15 years. As the vines have aged, the wine seems to have become more soulful, which I suppose could be more a function of winemaking choices, not sure. In any case, this is a beautiful successor to the phenomenal 2021 (still the one IMHO).

Bright crimson in color. 14.9% ABV. 100% Zinfandel from Funsten Ranch in the Dry Creek Valley. Stunning nose of red fruits, roasted herbs and flowers. Medium body with ample acidity. Loaded with bright fruits. Well balanced. Cherries, strawberry and white pepper on the palate. Nice length on the finish. One of the better Zins from Dry Creek. Best over the next 3-5 years.
