Deep dark center, red rim with signs of age. Sweet pipe tobacco, touch of band aid, cassis, rosemary. Smooth, complex and mature red and black fruits, menthol, very modest tannins and acidity, some greenness, great finish of ripe red cherries and dust. Mature Bordeaux is the closest comparison. Very mature SMV cabernet that is drinking very well despite the advanced years. Probably past prime for many, but I appreciate it. After a bit more air (more than I expected) I increased this to a 92.

Underwhelming. Balanced with fresh Red fruit, herbs. Drank over several hours and a second day along with an 07 Elivette and this one just never developed any complexity.

From Magnum at Bouchon, Yountville, CA. Well-aged and sturdy Napa Cab still showing some dark fruit. Dusty and savory, nice if you like the style. Paired with confit duck leg.

This 20 year old Spring Mountain is really drinking well. It has lost a bit of the bite over the past 5 years but that was replaced with a wonderful assortment of unique flavors. I hate it when reviewers tell you what you are suspose to taste in the wines so I will refrain from the specifics other than to say take your time with this one, you will not be disappointed,

Took an hour to wake from the slumber, but fulfilled its promise after that brief wait. Not a powerful wine, but lovely to drink and food friendly.
