Decanted for 5 hours, smooth on the pallet, strong tastes of cherry, low acidity. I don’t have a prior bottle to compare it to for this vintage, but it’s good. Market value is half what I paid from the winery, which is not ideal for an above average price to lose so much after cellaring it for so long.

Very dark red color. PNP, drank a glass plus over 90 minutes for Thanksgiving with family. It had been three years since the last bottle. We'd passed this over so many times over the last couple months up at the Ranch, that my dad felt obligated to open it - finally. Well, he was sure glad we did. I think we all were duly impressed. This just drank so well - in the zone so to speak. Cassis, tar, diesel, cherry, red berries and black raspberry on the nose. The palate is well balanced, a mix of more red fruit, red berries, but cassis and red cherry too, scorched earth, tar, smoky, great texture and round tannins, full bodied. 93+pts easy and maybe better.

Decanted for 30 minutes. Smells great but tastes like it might be slightly past its prime.

Definitely improved from 3 years ago. Not quite as thin and doesn’t require food, though nice with dinner. Opens up much more quickly. Pretty nose
