Starting to open up a bit, bit as monolithic as on release, but there's still a strong tannic structure present (at least for a beaujolais). Planning on waiting a few years before trying the next bottle... let things unwind a bit more.

Dark, youthful purplish red. Cool nose showing dark fruit, meaty notes and black pepper. If tasted blind, I might have gone N Rhone. Medium to full bodied, this enters with a mix of rocks and blackberries. The pure fruit aspect of this wine really emerges on the mid palate as it runs through layers of tart berries and some tart plum flavors. Still showing plenty of acidity, but tannins are mostly resolved. Very interesting finish which jumps between fruity and peppered flavors. Plenty of life in this one, but likely drinking at peak right now.

Delicious; serious. I think this is a bit better than a few years ago and will be better in a few more years. More open, but still some tannins to resolve, which I think is leading to the clipped finish.

Probably the beaujolais I've enjoyed the most so far. Great weight and structure, very pinot-like, with lots of red fruit and earth. Would be intrigued to age some of this!

(Desvignes Morgon Cote de Py) This had a nose of minerals presented very elegantly on a bed of red fruits. Palate was excellent. Juicy, ripe and concentrated with greta thrust from the accessible tannin and acid. You could chew on the tannin and enjoy the lingering and high pitch of the acids. This had length and power. Sensational stuff.
