I had heard from a few folks whose palates I trust that this wine was drinking very well now, so I pulled one to see. If I'm to be honest, this bottle, at least, was relatively disappointing for a Dujac. More Dujac than Chambolle, this shows more dark-fruited, with some spice notes and an earthy tinge that is clearly the mark of the 2006 vintage (the 2006 flavour is particularly prominent in the Dujac wines -- I was able to call the vintage in one of the bonnes bouches that we tasted at the domaine). However, the structure here seems to be the most prominent feature; it's a little blocky for my palate. This should be interesting to revisit in another few years.

Chambolle Northside 1er (Zoom / Chicago): 06/07/08 flight. Full nose that has so much depth with layers of black cherry, stem, herbs and spice. Rich and ripe black cherry has plenty of freshness and lift throughout. Classic Dujac stem is intense. A hedonistic wine that is at peak.

Chambolle-Musigny "Northside" 1er Cru Tasting (Chicagoland IL): In Gruenchers flight. Fleshy, opulent and spicy red cherry and berry, this is exactly what i expect from classically Dujac wines. Maybe not as complex as the 2008, but this simply grabs your attention. So good now.

Reticent and blocky on the palate like what Burg Al said. Disappointing given 06 Dujac CDLR is great.

2016 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium - Kelly, Alan and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/3/2016-11/12/2016 (Villa D’este, Lake Como, Piedmont, Milan and Frankfurt): Very sweet yet pretty red fruit, cherry, raspberry jam, a hint of stem, rose and raw button mushroom. Medium concentration, pretty sweet red fruit driven palate impression, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a medium to long sweet finish with a hint of stem at the end. Really delicious.
