I have written on this one recently. Still loving it. Great finesse and flavor. Sweet enough to be a full force dessert wine. Complex with peach/apricot with nice toast and brulee. Very excellent second label.

I was a bit surprised how good this wine was. I bought it about ten years ago at a deep discount of around $25. It is Suduiraut's second label. The wine is now quite golden and light amber. On the palate the wine is sweet although not super sweet. There is much botrytis flavor with a bit of toastiness and caramel. The fruit is in the peach and apricot range. Quite viscous and slightly viscous. The acidity is firm and offers an excellent balance. It is a delicious wine at age 20 but it will hold and improve. I have half a case and this is my first taste of this wine. Very happy at this price.

Medium botrytis, color is still firm yellow/light gold; still quite primary, apricot, minimal spices, but developing. Kind of a round vintage, seems to be developing character, but the acid needed for a great sauternes will never be there.

Annual Wine Group Summer Event - BBQ Brisket at Siggy's (Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Small pour. No notes, but consistent with my previous note.

Homage at Travail: Worthy Wines (Travial/ Faux Auriga, Mpls): Very deep golden to more amber color. From 750, small glass. Orange marmalade, spice, orange cream, excellent texture, sharper finish. Gets the job done. 89 to 90pts.
