Dark red color. Dark red fruit, notes of leather on the nose. Soft and gentle on the palate, again dark red fruit with leather and game marks. Spicy. Quite interesting wine, well made, honest Chateauneuf. Years of life left.

Quite subdued. The fruit is dark, meaty, leathery, there is Syrah and Mourvèdre influence. Licorice and spices on the nose. Takes time to open up, might be just too early for this one. But it’s definitely better after a few hours.

Mont Redon lunch (The Hughenden Hotel, Woolahra): (From Magnum) Funky farmyard, biscuit, leather over red berries and cream…farmyard begins to blow off with time. In the mouth it's juicy, again with a touch of sourness like the 10, leather spice, tangy, slightly drying but fine tannins and alcohol warmth. Muted fruit. balanced and nice.

Very meaty on the nose at first, opened up nicely after 1 hour of decanting. Some fruit left, probably drinkable until 2018.
