Pnp. It's just beautiful. Bracing acidity balances a little sweetness. It's lemon meringue fading into banana cream pie. A bright nose. Long, long, long finish lasting minutes. It's not the most complex riesling, but it's the best riesling I've had in quite a long time. We loved every sip. It's still youthful and wish I had more to see where it goes.
No notes and end of night Ausleses--Haag Braunegurger Juffer and '05 Donnhoff Brucke. Would prbably give the nod to the Fritz Haag but not notes/don't remember. EWG at Kappor's Akbar

Missed the AP on this, but it was a fine showing. Lots of ripe white fruit tinged with slate, honey, and light florality; still very primary with little sign of age, but there's a brightness and overall richness here that makes it very easy to drink now and a solid pairing with choucroute.

Leiden at Librije zusje: Only 7.5% alcohol but serious concentrated wine. Sweetness, orange, apricot, botrytis. Good acidic backbone. I do not rate this due to limited experience with german riesling.

(Fritz Haag Braunberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese) Very high toned and mineral nose that is deep and scary complex. The palate is deep and cuts a huge swath and shows the power of Juffer-Sonnenuhr. More depth here. But finesse like you would not believe. One of the most elegant Auslesen of the trip. Just spectacular.
