  • Oktoberfest dinner, but wine instead of beer. Cork was buried an inch below the top and was a little loose, but it didn't seem to affect the wine. No leaks despite the dodgy cork. Brilliant wine. All peaches, plums and red apple. Rich and sweet but supremely balanced. Great with the various wursts. I would normally prefer a Kabinett or Spatlese but this worked out fine. In a very good place right now.

  • 2021 New Year's @ Ben's!: Tropical fruits, honey, ripe but not too ripe. Nice acidity. Nice!

  • Ohh yes. Tangereine, apricot, honey, very open and satisfying. Delicious balance between fruit and acidity. I am not able to keep from gulping it down. One zip takes the next - it is very pleasing and savory and strikes a perfect balance. At the price (27€) this is a mindblowing QPR. Get some...

  • This bottle had a hard task to perform: Accompanying a full five course menu. And it did very well! Beautiful Juffer Nose. Medium sweet, perfectly balanced by the high and well-integrated acidity. It is fascinating that the wine handled all courses of the dinner from fish to meat perfectly well and all that with only 7,5% abv. This is something that only Riesling can do! As always, Haag’s Auslesen are never loud or extravagant. It is resting in it self and is totally balanced. Long and lingering finish. Great future of at least two more decades ahead! 93+++

  • Pale yellow with shimmering gold turning transparent at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose shows lime zest on white floral scents of plumeria and geranium. The palate is rich, layered and creamy. Flavors of apricot, tangerine, pear, peach, layered with orange peel, beezwax and toasted oats. Finishes long and sumptuous with rich mineral notes. This is very lovely and aptly balances acidity with its sweetness. Lots of energy and purity. Drink now until 2024.
