  • Give this some air! I didn't decant, but should have, as the last glass was absolutely the best. Surprisingly youthful with aromas of earthy currant and backberry. Those followed through on the palate, but some plum pudding, and a nice amount of tannin left to keep it focused. No need to hurry on this.

  • Inky, dense, complex and drinking beautifully at the moment. Opaque dark ruby purple color; aromas of black fruit (blackcurrants, blackberries, damson plums), with savory meaty notes, and dark aromas of forest and chocolate; lush black fruit flavors with dark bitter chocolate and savory meaty-soy notes, chewy tannins for balance, and an explosive mouthfilling mid-palate that carries beautifully through the very long finish, ending at long last in black cherries. A departure from the typically more elegant and restrained Washington cabs at this price point. Give this at least 3 hours to come together after opening.

  • very fruit expressive. a touch lush with lead pencil and anise. greenness with lively acidity. i'm finding the oak tannin a bit tough vs. the lean nature of this wine.
