Two hour decant and drinking beautifully. Had the last one in 2011 and rated it at 93 pts. Deep red/purple color with plenty of upfront fruit, spices, chocolate and toasty cedar. Fun and has plenty of punch. Moderate tannins, well balanced acidity and a long and pleasant finish. Nothing tired about this wine. Goes to show what can occur with a well made bottle resting for over a decade at 56 degrees. One more to go and may wait another 10 years.

The aroma on this was promising but the follow through was not there. Austere, angular, excessive oak with not much flavor profile. This is deteriorating from prior bottles.
Austerity on steroids would describe Day 2.

A sweeter nose than in used to with cabs. Lots of strawberry and chocolate. Had a nice, creamy, texture with more berries, coca butter, mushrooms. Now is the time to drink this wine for sure.

I'm not sure if the wine is changed, or if my taste has changed. Over the past couple of nights I try to glass of this wine and found it hot and a bit astrid. Clearly there is lots of fruit there, some earth, and Swisher sweet like tobacco, but the favors are poorly integrated and just hot throughout the profile. OK QPR but nothing special.

Too much heat on night one, restrained fruit with acid on the front. Disappointing.
