Rheingau - visiting Georg Breuer (Rudesheim): {cork, 13.5%} Aging yellow fruit, but still with a slatey, mineral quality. Certainly not young. Surprisingly rich and primary fruit qualities on the palate though, softer acid than the 08 Nonnenberg. But this is considerably weightier on the palate than the 2012; it’s a vineyard with develops not just complexity but weight as it ages. Good presence along the tongue, medium length finish; I suspect this 8-12 year range is peak drinking for Roseneck. Beautiful, aged, complex Riesling.
