Method: pop and pour; 50 degrees; Grassl Mineralite
Look: medium- gold; no legs
Nose: Meyer lemon, light fresh Granny Smith apple, pine, creek water
Palate: slightly brown pineapple, light honey, apricot, minerality, lemon pith, herbs/greenery that I can't place; attack is a relatively mild and midpalate is fairly hollow/short; medium+ finish petrol, herbs, lighter minerality; medium- sweetness; medium body, a bit heavier than I might expect for some Kabinetts; medium acidity
Overall: It's tasty and has a fairly compelling flavor profile, but it's lacking a bit of zing and umph and falls a bit flatter than most Rieslings I've had. It's still balanced well and is quite enjoyable, but it's not anything note worthy. Very good wine, but nothing special.
Day 3 Update: It's gotten better over the last two days with more fruit coming to the forefront and, more importantly to me, a nice ginger spice note on the palate. The structure still isn't anything to write home about, but this wine got quite a bit better and I really like it.

This wine is really showing well on its 10th birthday. As I've mentioned previously, the residual sugar seems more at the Spatelese level but there is still acidity and minerality to balance the sugar and tropical fruit. This was my last bottle but if I had others I would put them in the queue to drink.

Light, spritz, tart petrol apple lime flavors.
Beautiful right now, but no hint of fading. Should last great

At 8 years old, this is sleek, smooth, with acidity to balance the slight sweetness, a lovely Reisling.
