Opened and poured a little at a time into pinot glasses. Wine expressed itself better after 30-45 minutes. Aromas of cocoa powder, fig, apricot, sweet tobacco, dried rose petals and a bit of new glove leather. Tart fruits on the attack ~ cherry, cranberry, choke cherry with long lasting deeper black cherry/black tea finish. Acidic profile pushes this into food wine territory, but fans of modestly good burgundy may enjoy this alone in cool weather. Fairly high pitched wine... could use a shade more richness for broader appeal. Tannins & acid seem to steal the show, with surprisingly long black cherry/tea finish becoming translucent and a bit overpowered. This is an acquired taste... and better with a good sandwich.

Farge: Sviskesupperød (rød mot brunlig). Duft: Ganske Beaujolaistypiske røde frukter og tyggisaromaer, men dypere rødfrukt enn vanlig; mørke moreller.

Showing brilliantly - no longer overtly fruity, and more intriguing than gamay normally is, beautiful, vibrant, perfectly proportioned
