- the 5th disciple of the Drop of God comic hence it is one of the wine I wanted to try. - Pretty dark in Color.... well. Nose is pretty nice with sweet yellow fruits, some caramel, roasted nut, powerful and at the same time not not airy that I associate with a Chevy. Initially good acidity on the palate, growing intensity on the palate but disjointed. This does freshen up when served colder but we agreed that this is not the right performance. Well...

Not a fan, at least not of this bottle. Weird nose of pepto bismol and stale spearmint gum. Not premoxed, but somehow dessicated, withdrawn, and dried out.

2000 Vintage Great White Burgundy Dinner (Boka - Chicago IL): Single blind in a great flight of 2000 vintage Chevalier-Montrachet. Nuanced aromas of peach and ripe apple. Subtle apple and pear flavors, good background spice, modest intensity and length. While not as good as I recall from years ago, I was pleased this simply wasn't oxidized.

Thankfully a non-oxidized Colin-Deleger from the 1996-2000 period. Excellent spice dominated nose with some apple and pear. Palate leaning a bit more to ripe peach flavors along with apple and pear, also with great spice, showing lots of nuance. Very good minerality, but not much acidity coming out now. This would have merited a higher score but, no surprise, it is showing well more advanced than 2000 Grand Cru should.
