  • Medium red, a bit darker then I remember this wine being. A bit of VA at first. Nose showed lots of raisin, plums and violets. Fairly intense. The flavours were typical mid age nebbiolo. Long dry finish. Just great with the food. Everyone at the table found this wine interesting and unusual but excellent.

Nice to find this on a restaurant winelist. Ready to enjoy after a half hour in the decanter.

  • Pulled this too early, some nice dusted chocolate and raisiny sequence, but still a bit rough on the approach, needs time to smooth out, more approachable next evening (vac sealed, wasn't decanted)... let this sit for at least 5 years.

  • This bottle was a gift. Slight bricking on this translucent nebbiolo. Slightly past maturity on the nose of raisin and ripe plum. The palate is better with rich fruit, dried plums and fig. Very dry refined tannic finish. Maybe some botrytis during the grape drying giving it a slightly oxidative note. Actually went well with the very ripe figs I was picking from my tree.

  • Super ripe plum, chocolate, sweet oak, plasticine, licorice. Silky and lush, smooth plush finish. Nice wine but seems to be aging rather rapidly and entering a slide phase.
