  • Somewhat less impressive than their more recent offerings, though nevertheless pleases with dusty cherries, dired rose, cedar spice box, and finishing wild red berries. Good acidity and firm finishing tannins, but lacks a bit of depth. Drink.

  • Chose the bottle to go with the menu at Aqua Pazza in Nihonbashi area.
The bouquet is one of the worst ever: smells like something you really oughtn't drink. Glue and solvent... (Goes away within the hour. Will be gone in a few years time.)
But, on the palate it comes around as an angry jinn that does not want to come out of the bottle just yet. Angrily tannic and tightly knit.
To be kept for at least 5 more years.
    Extremely promising!
I need to locate a retailer!

  • decanted at 5pm for dinner - smells like cinnamon toast, nice light oak aroma, cherries, a little funk came off immediately five minutes later coffee, and cranberries came through. a light rich blackberry jammy nose briefly appeared, color bright copperish ale color on rim, turning to more of a cranberry hue, definitely a noir more so than a claret. 1/2 hour taste, big tannins bright acid on back end, can't wait to swirl it with lamb shanks, polenta and roasted root veggies. long slow, extra slow legs,it was great with food, and opened up a few more layers with a defined cherry/cranberry flavor I think this is young, i will head to the wine merchant and pick up 2-3 more bottles to age 3-5 more years. rate a 90.5,

  • Color: Dark
    Nose: Tannic, musty, earth
Taste: Musty, earth tones, hint of spice, little tannic
    Finish: Long, earth, tannic, spice
Evaluation: This style of wine (Nebbiolo grape) requires a meal of game or hearty pasta to balance out the tannins. These are age worthy wines and I encourage you to try one and pair it with the right meal to see if this grape is for you. Well made but don’t drink alone. 88 points
