  Open in the bottle (not decanted) for about 4 hours, this is really in the zone right now. Nose has a slight smoky, charred earth thing going on with some ripe cherries and red vines candy. Palate is light and slightly lifted but with a slight tobacco and red fruit (strawberry maybe?) finish. Tannins are still present but so smooth and balance perfectly with the acidity. Super elegant, a great wine. Paired stupendously with short ribs, glazed carrots and potato puree. It seems to have lots of life left but if I had more of this I would have a hard time not drinking it all now : )
