Pfff, textbook-Priorat. Heavy, (over)concentrated. Rhone on steroids. Very alcoholic. Label suggests 14,5%; I would say closer to 16%. Needs solid food to be washed down comfortably. Not my style.

Last of the lot. The wood tastes a bit more prominent than a few years ago and the vanilla is a bit overwhelming. Alcohol has heated up a bit as well. This is in decline which I could have predicted based on the style. It remains enjoyable, however, and there is still plenty of ripe (i.e. jammy) fruit to go around. Not sure I would re-buy for myself, but this is a crowd pleasing party wine for a tapas night.

Decanted and drank over 90min. This has evolved nicely since my prior bottle from 3yrs ago. The rough tannins have since softened and are now velvety, well balanced and integrated.
Full bodied and complex, with lots of red cherry and spice. Very food friendly with a long enjoyable finish. Drinking really well at this stage!! 92+
