  Outstanding Priorat wine, an old vines blend of 86 percent Carinyena and 14 percent Garnatxa Negra (organic viticulture) grow on vineyard sites with steep terraces and hillsides (llicorella soils) around the village Porrera (located about thirty kilometers west of the city of Tarragona, Catalunya). The wine was aged for sixteen months in new French barriques followed by a bottle refinement of eleven months. Deep ruby-red in color with purple reflections. Splendid bouquet with enticing aromas of violets, black cherries, licorice, sweet spices and a fine touch of oak and vanilla. The full-bodied and extremely well-balanced palate combines intensity with elegance, offering ripe plum and blackberry fruit, a silky texture, polished tannins and quite a high but finely integrated acidity. Long persistent aftertaste with some beautiful balsamic tones. Absolutely great yet but the wine will continue to develop for many years. Give it an hour in the decanter to open up.
  
  Uitstekende Priorat-wijn, een blend van 86 percent Carinyena en 14 percent Garnatxa Negra (zeer oude stokken, biologische wijnbouw), geteeld op steile terrassen en hellingen (llicorella bodems) rondom het dorp Porrera (gelegen ongeveer dertig kilometer ten westen van de stad Tarragona, Catalonië). De wijn rijpte zestien maanden in nieuwe Franse barriques met aansluitend nog een verfijning op fles van elf maanden. Diep robijnrood van kleur met paarse schakeringen. Prachtig bouquet met verleidelijke aroma's van viooltjes, zwarte kers, zoethout, zachte kruiden en een fijne toets van eikenhout en vanille. Het volle en zeer fraai uitgebalanceerde smaakpatroon combineert intensiteit met elegantie, en wordt gekenmerkt door rijp pruimen- en bramenfruit, een zijdezachte textuur, gepolijste tannines en vrij hoge maar perfect geïntegreerde aciditeit. Lange persistente afdronk met wat fraaie balsamische nuances. Nu al bijzonder groots, maar de wijn heeft nog heel wat ontwikkelingspotentieel. Best een uurtje op voorhand te decanteren.

  Decanted 30 minutes. Dark color. Love the 86% Carignan. Nice extraction. Medium mouth feel. Really excellent.

  Dark fruit is complimented by peat moss, underbrush and Mediterranean spice. Medium weight with great overall balance. This wine will evolve nicely over the next hand full of years. Good juice.

  Pocas veces probamos una garnacha así de sedosa, aterciopelada… abundante fruta negra, destacando la cereza picota y los frutos del bosque, con un toque mineral interesante. Aromas secundarios de cuero y tabaco. Negro brillante. Recomendamos decantarlo 1 hora mínimo. Delicioso. Aguanta un par de años más de guarda.
