An interesting wine, since I have little familiarity with Portugese wines, and this is the first dry one I've had. Cherry and plum, but what I found most interesting is that the finish had the spicy flavor profile, but none of the sweetness, of Port (I guess I was surprised to find that it comes so much from the grapes and not so much from the winemaking). Spicy and dusty on the finish. The tannins are fully integrated and it's clearly time to drink up. Though it was fun to drink, no one was really that excited about it overall.

Dark purple color. Nose of dark fruits and slightly rubbery. Very fruitforward and ends with a very noticeable amount of heat. A full bodied wine on a medium long finish with nice integrated tannins.

Still holding up nicely. Lots of dark plummy/prune-y fruit. A good pairing with Central American / South American food, as we did tonight.

Shared at an offline. Opened up to be a nice accompaniment to Armenian food (shish kebob). Nice fruit with spicy mid palate and fairly long finish.
