Loads of prunes on the nose and palate. Soft tannins and a short finish. A meh wine that doesn’t do much of anything, which means it doesn’t do anything well or anything poorly. Serviceable but not something I’d likely buy again even at this price point.

Purchased for $15. Popped and poured and served in a Riedel Vinum Bordeaux Glass. This was consumed over 3hrs and the wine really started singing towards the end. So this needs a solid decant to show it's best. A blend of 35% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz, 25% Touriga Franca and 10% Tinta Barroca. Initially, I got some thin blue plum notes. But towards the end, this opened up to reveal sweeter dark plum, cassis, blackberry and spice. There's very firm tannins, more proof this needs time or a good decant. I'm looking forward to trying Quinta do Crasto's other wines. Grade: B+

Black and blue fruits, primarily sweet plum, on a generous nose. A round, fruity body with soft corky-oak tannins. While very clean and fresh, a bit of a shorter finish. A wine made to drink now, I doubt cellering longer would be of any benefit.

Dark plums and cassis on the nose with a fresh fruit driven palate filled with more plums and black cherry. The acidity is vibrant and refreshes the palate which doesn't show much oak if any. Lively and enjoyable wine drinking well now.

A bit stolid, but still rich and good value.
